在《霍夫堡宫的回廊》中，他将透视法推向极致。近景的科林斯柱廊以冷灰铺陈，中庭喷泉的水珠却以留白技法跳跃，远景的拱门则融进钴蓝与茜素红交织的暮色。这种“从实入虚”的构图，不仅展现建筑的空间韵律，更暗含对帝国辉煌逝去的隐喻。画作边缘总点缀着微小人物——戴礼帽的绅士、挎篮的主妇，他们的存在让冰冷的建筑有了体温，恰如歌辛格所言：“石头的故事需由人的目光唤醒”。
